Nintendo has recently revealed via Spotpass that over 35 Billion coins have been collected worldwide so far. 30 Billion of those coins are from Japan players, who have had the game for almost a month now. The game has been out for 4 days in Europe and 2 days in the U.S. I've personally only collected about 35,000. That means I've contributed 1 millionth of all the coins!
