Home > Wii U to Support Up to 3TB Memory Uprgrade Through an External USB Hard Drive
Nintendo is allowing their customers to upgrade their devices internal memory with a USB drive. The USB drive can have a maximum storage capacity of 3TB.
Reggie Fils-Amie had this to say:
The reason we did it that way is that the cost of that type of storage memory is plummeting. What we didn't want to do is tie a profit model to something that's gonna rapidly decline over time. We'll let the consumer buy as much as they want, as cheaply as they want.
