Extremely Late E3 Summary and May Podcast

Home > Extremely Late E3 Summary and May Podcast
Nintendo's Primary E3 Press Conference was yesterday, and revealed tons of new info about a variety of things relating to Nintendo, mostly about the WiiU. - Pikmin 3 has been confirmed, and will feature a new type of Pikmin, the rock Pikmin, as well as four different Pikmin leaders. None of these are Olimar and Louie from the previous titles, the reason for this has been kept secret. The WiiU gamepad will be used for scrolling through the map as well as controlling the game. - New Super Mario Bros. 2 has been given a release date, August 19th in Europe and North America. - New Super Mario Bros. U has been revealed, to be released for the WiiU. It will feature a new power up, which reminds me much of a flying squirrel. It appears as if it gives you the ability to glide. - The WiiU will support both the Wiimote and the WiiU gamepad - The sequel to Luigi's mansion revealed last year has been given a name, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. - Paper Mario: Sticker Star revealed for the 3DS. It will be in a format similar to the first two Paper Marios, with turn based battles. However, the action commands that you use will be determined by stickers you carry, which you can peel off of various surfaces. - A variety of 3rd party games such as Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition, and Mass Effect 3, will be coming to the WiiU - Nintendo Land has been revealed, a game or piece of software which lets you tour a theme park based around 12 mini-games which take their inspiration from various universes within Nintendo franchises, such as Zelda, Metroid, Mario, and Donkey Kong. That's all the important stuff for you in case you missed it. Speaking of important stuff, hit the jump to see the extremely late May podcast in which we discussed our predictions for E3. Yeeeaaaahhh, probably would have been best if we got that out earlier, but regardless, it's still all in all a great podcast.
This podcast features, among other things, an interview with Darren of Shinesparkers.net, as well as interviews with our two new staff members, Skermefaten and Dodongobomber. After all this, you can look forward to us sort of talking about E3, but mainly Dodongobomber and bigflyingpotato arguing about whether or not yawns are "cute". Horribly adorable, I know. - Fused
