Wii U Games That Need To See The Light Of Day

Home > Wii U Games That Need To See The Light Of Day
Hello there! Nick here, back with a brand new article. This article will focus on games that I'd like to see come to Wii U during its lifetime. However, to the readers, I'd like to let you know that while I was writing this article, I specifically focused on games that I think will never come to the Wii U, judging by Nintendo's reputation. These titles are a dream come true for a Nintendo fanboy. So, don't judge me on games I'd like to see. Also, some of these titles are games I've made up. I've split up the article into two parts: Remakes/Ports and Original Titles. So, jump in for the article!

REMAKES/PORTS

5. POKEMON ??? (RETAIL TITLE) Now, you're probably confused by the title of this. What I mean is, any Pokemon title, from Generation 1-4. I didn't really know which one to put, so I'm gonna put a little surprise at the end of this article regarding this title.

4. DONKEY KONG (WII U eSHOP) Donkey Kong was originally an arcade game. Mario, then known as Jumpan, would have to jump over barrels and save his beloved Princess Peach from Donkey Kong, who, back then, was evil! I'd like to see this title on the Wii U's eShop, because I honestly can't see it as a full retail title.

3. THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: MAJORA'S MASK (RETAIL TITLE) This is a title that I'm sure won't come to see the light of day, especially during the Wii U's lifetime. I'm not talking a port. I want an Ocarina of Time 3D-esqe remake, but with even better graphics due to the HD capabilities of the Wii U. And while I do support Operation Moonfall, I'd much rather see Majora's Mask Wii U than Majora's Mask 3D.

2. METROID REFUSED (RETAIL TITLE) This title must be especially confusing for you! Why? I made it up! Metroid Refused would be a remake of the original Metroid, however, it would be remade in 3D, with graphics like Ocarina of Time 3D, but an art style more suited to the series.

1. THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: THE WIND WAKER (WII U eSHOP) This one I can actually see happening, and this is probably the one I'd like most out of this entire article. Since the Wii U will not support Gamecube games, I can see Gamecube titles making their way to the Wii U eShop. I think The Wind Waker would be the perfect game to bring over, and I'd be fine with it if they change the graphics or not.

ORIGINAL TITLES

5. POKEMON SNAP 2

Now, onto original titles. Pokemon Snap was a really neat game on the N64. I think fans of the original Pokemon Snap would be really excited for this. And with the Wii U Gamepad, I think the possibilities of a photography based game would be really cool!

4. STARFOX/METROID CROSSOVER This title is very unlikely, mostly because Nintendo has never done anything like this before, combining game universes, save for Super Smash Bros and Kid Icarus: Uprising if you count the various references to other video game series. I heard a rumor about this a while back, and I think if fleshed out, it would be a really pleasant experience.

3. POKEMON MMORPG Fans have been dying for a Pokemon MMORPG for ages! And with the Wii U's online capabilities, I think the Wii U is the perfect console to finally make a Pokemon MMORPG a reality. I'm not really a Pokemon fanboy or anything, but I'd really like to play this if it were ever to be released.

2. KID ICARUS IV Unfortunately, a Kid Icarus sequel is not likely. Masahiro Sakurai, the creator of the Kirby and Super Smash Bros franchises, who also produced Kid Icarus: Uprising, has confirmed that there will not be a sequel. However, he did say that in 25 years, someone else might make a new title. I would really like a title, due to Uprising's success. Sadly, if we ever do see a Kid Icarus 4, it won't be on the Wii U.

1. SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE 2 Last but certainly not least, is Super Mario Sunshine 2. Super Mario Sunshine was originally released on the Gamecube, and is considered one of the greatest games on the console. For years, fans have been craving a sequel to the title. Even a sequel on the 3DS would suffice for me, but I think I'd really like to see Super Mario Sunshine 2 on the Wii U.

And now, onto that surprise I mentioned earlier. As of today, July 24, a poll will be set up here. And you, the Nintendo Castle community, will vote for what generation or game from Pokemon Generations 1-4 that you'd like to see remade or ported to Wii U. The poll will last until August 4, and the results will be posted on the main site on the next day. So thanks for reading, and go down and vote! Comment below on what titles you want to see on Wii U!
