It looks like we'll be getting one brand new game as part of the Super Mario Bros. 40th anniversary celebration - and it's actually a Yoshi game. It's called Yoshi and the Mysterious Book and it's coming exclusively to the Switch 2 in Spring 2026.
The game centers around a talking book named Mr. E that contains many pages full of unusual creatures in landscapes. Yoshi hops into these pages to investigate. It features a unique story book art style that almost looks like a modern day rendition of Yoshi's Story. Here's the full trailer:
