Reggie Fils-Amie has said in an interview that the Wii U sold 400,000 units last week in North America. Reggie explains that more consoles would have been sold, but there are problems getting the console out to retailers. He also said:
Retailers are also doing their best to get the product to store shelves. But as soon as product hits retail, they're selling out immediately.
The Wii U was not the only Nintendo console selling lots of units last week. To see the amount of units other consoles (handheld and otherwise) sold last week in North America, click the button below! During last week, the consoles and the amount of units sold were:
  • 300,000 Wii consoles
  • 250,000 3DS handhelds
  • 275,000 DS handhelds.
