Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is Mario Kart's entry on the Gamecube. Not only is this the first installment to feature more than eight characters (twenty) the main gimmick of the game is allowing two characters to ride on a kart at the same time. One of the players handles driving while the other determines what to do with items. This allows for interesting new co-op play. The game features returning items and special items for each of the ten character sets.
