The Magical Boomerang

Since we have acquired so many weapons and upgrades already, we can just go right on to the second dungeon. To get there from the Eagle Labyrinth just walk right 1 screen, up 1 screen, right 5 screens, down 2 screens, left 1 screen, and up 1 screen, then descend down into the Moon Labyrinth, or Level 2. To start, I recommend going up 1 screen. Here you will see new snake-like enemies called Ropes. Kill them or avoid them and go left 1 screen. Kill the Ropes in here, grab the key, then go right 1 screen, down 1 screen, and right 1 screen. In this room you have to kill the Ropes to make the key appear. Once you grab the key go up 1 screen and you will fin more Ropes. Use a key on the locked door to your right, kill the Gels, and grab the Compass.

From here you can bomb your way up 4 screens, but you will miss out on some keys. For now I recommend that you bomb your way up 1 screen, kill the Gels, and grab the Dungeon Map. If you want to explore the entire dungeon you can go left then up 1 screen, but that requires a key and not much good will come from it. If you bomb your way up 1 screen you will face a room that would prove rather difficult if you did not have the White Sword, Boomerang, Magic Shield, and Blue Ring. You must face 3 Blue Goriyas while statues shoot fire balls at you. Upon killing the 3 Goriyas the Magic Boomerang will appear. This upgrade will allow you to throw your Boomerang across the entire screen.

Now that you have the dungeon item, go right 1 screen, kill the Ropes, and grab another key. If you go up 1 screen you will run into Lanmolas, which appear to be worms, or lines of fire balls. If you kill them they will drop another key. Go right 1 screen, and bomb the upper wall, THEN kill the Keese because they will drop more bombs for you to replenish your stock. Go up 1 screen and kill the Gels to obtain a blue rupee. If you go up 1 screen the Old Man will just give you some advice about the boss, but if you want to save another key, then bomb the left wall.

Dodongo

This is the last room before the boss of Level 2. Kill all the Red Goriyas and pick up the bombs, you will need them for the boss fight. Once you kill the enemies and the doors open, go up 1 screen and you will see the giant lizard-like dinosaur, Dodongo. He is a fairly easy boss, and his way of dealing damage is by making contact with you. There are two ways you can beat this boss, both of which require bombs. The more reliable way is to wait till he starts walking towards you, and then planted a bomb in front of his mouth. If he runs into the bomb, he will eat it and take damage. Do this twice and Dodongo will die. The alternative is to try and time your bomb so it blows up on his back; this will stun him allowing you to finish him in just 1 sword slash. Once you beat him pick up the Heart Container and go left 1 screen to gain the second piece of the Triforce of Wisdom.
