Difficult Enemies

From the Moon Labyrinth’s entrance, walk down, right, down 1 screen, left 8 screens, down 1 screen, left 2 screens, down 1 screen, and right 1 screen. Upon entering the Manji Labyrinth, the only way you can go is right. This room contains Zols, which split into two Gels when struck with the Wooden Sword, but if you have been following along and retrieved the White Sword, then they will die instantly. Once all the Zols are dead, grab the key and travel up 1 screen. Here there are more Zols; kill all of them and another key will appear.

Go up 1 screen and you will find one of the most difficult enemies in the game, the Darknut. With the White Sword you must stab them in the back or the side twice; hitting them in the front will result in having your attack blocked. The only spoil that is dropped from killing these Darknuts is bombs. If you want you can bomb the wall on the right and continue right 1 screen and up 1 screen to the boss, however, there is an item and some keys that you will need. I recommend going left. This room has some Keese, Traps, and most importantly, the Compass. Grab the compass and continue left 1 screen (Killing the Keese in this room does nothing). This room has 5 Darknuts in it, and unfortunately you are going to have to kill them if you want to progress. Once all of the enemies are dead the bottom door will unlock and you can go down 1 screen into a room filled with Darknuts, but thankfully you do not need to kill them. Go down the staircase and you will come upon the Raft, an item we will need to enter the 4th dungeon, and obtain the 4th Heart Container.

Return up the stairs, go up 2 screens, and grab the key while killing or avoiding the Zols and Keese. Go right 1 screen and kill all the Keese to restock on bombs if you need to. Continue right 1 screen and kill all the Zols to obtain another Key. Use the key on the upper door and kill the Zols so you can push the block on the left and open the door at the top of the screen. Go up 1 screen and the Old Man will ask if you have already retrieved the White Sword. Go left 1 screen, grab the key, and kill all the Keese so you can go back the way you came in.

Manhandla

From the old man’s room go down 2 screens and right 1 screen. Grab the Dungeon Map in this room and go down 1 screen to a room with 3 Darknuts in it. Kill them and continue right 1 screen. Kill all the enemies in here to open the top door and reveal a blue rupee. I recommend equipping your bombs, because the next room is the boss room. Go up 1 screen and you will face the four-headed plant, Manhandla. There are a few ways to defeat this boss, you can stab it with your sword, shoot it with arrows, or blow its heads off with bombs. If you’re lucky, the bomb will explode in the middle of Manhandla, killing it one blow. Once it’s dead, grab the Heart Container, go up 1 screen, and acquire the third piece of the Triforce of Wisdom.
