Since we have acquired both the Raft and the Ladder, we can now go get 2 extra Heart Containers. Start by walking down the blue stairs outside the Snake Labyrinth’s entrance to sail back to the mainland. From here go right 8 screens (when you come across a screen where there are two paths on the right, take the upper path), down 1 screen (through the rightmost path), right 2 screens, and up 1 screen. You will see two platforms in the water to your right, the Heart Container being on the second one. Simply just walk across the water with the Ladder.
The last extra Heart Container is not very far from here at all. Go up 2 screens and use the raft to cross the water to an island similar to the one with the Snake Labyrinth. Walk inside this dungeon like cave and you will be offered either a Red Potion or Heart Container, and take the heart just like you did with the first 3 secret Heart Containers. Sail back to the mainland on the Raft so you can begin the journey to the Lizard Labyrinth. We can upgrade our sword to the Magic Sword, but I prefer to do that later when our destination is close to it.
The Lizard Labyrinth resides within the Lost Hills, one of the three biggest puzzles in the game, this one being the simplest. Go left, up, left, up 1 screen, and left again 2 screens. You are now in the Lost Hills. Going right, up, or down will result in returning to this screen. If you go left you will exit the Lost Hills; that, however, will get us nowhere. The trick here is to go up until you come across the Lizard Labyrinth, which is 4 screens.
Upon entering the dungeon, immediately equip your Bow & Arrow and go right 1 screen. Here you will find a new enemy known as a Pols Voice. These enemies are extremely tough against every weapon except for Arrows. Once all the Pols Voices are destroyed grab the key. You can bomb your way through the upper wall, although we will need bombs later, or you can go back left, up, and right 1 screen, but that requires a key. You can choose to use a bomb or a key, although this room just has advice from the Old Man.
Anyways, from the room with the Pols Voices go left and up 1 screen. Kill all the Gibdos in this room, grab the key, cross the lava with the Ladder, and enter the top door. Here you will have to fight against 3 Dodongos. Kill them the way you did back in the Moon Labyrinth by feeding them bombs. Once they are dead grab the bombs that appear and go up 1 screen. Grab the Dungeon Map and head back down and left 1 screen. Kill all the Zols, take the key and go down to the next screen. Kill all of the Gibdos here and bomb the wall on the left. Here you will have to fight 5 Blue Darknuts, one of the most difficult enemies in the entire game. Once they are dead push the leftmost block up or down and go down the staircase. This is not your average cavern area, as there is a staircase on the other side rather than an item. Once you ascend to the top of the other staircase go down 1 screen, kill all the Keese, and grab the key. Bomb the wall on the right and if you have 100 rupees you can increase your bomb capacity. Go back to the right, up and right again into a room filled with Blue Darknuts. Kill the enemies and push the block in the middle to reveal another staircase. Enter and take the Recorder, the dungeon item. Exit the cavern and go right 1 screen. Push the leftmost block and go back down the staircase. Once you are back in the room where we first fought the Darknuts go right 3 screens (To go right the 3rd screen bomb the wall), up and right 1 screen. Kill all the Zols and take the rupees, then go up to the next room. Kill the Gibdos here and grab the key, go up 1 screen kill the Darknuts, and take the Compass. For the next room have your Bow out. This room has 2 Keese, 2 Gibdos, and 2 Pols Voices. Kill the enemies and take the key that appears. Go left and you will see a room filled with Gibdos; kill them to acquire another key. Enter the room on the left and kill all the Pols Voices, then bomb the upper wall and the Old Man will give you some more advice. Go back down and left 1 screen to find the boss.
The boss of the dungeon is called Digdogger and he is basically a sea urchin that looks like a giant eye. You will notice that none of your weapons do any damage to this boss. To make him vulnerable, use the advice the Old Man had previously given you by pulling out the Recorder and using it. You will see Digdogger shrink to a very small creature who can be killed by your sword. Once Digdogger is dead you can go down, but all that is there is a room full of Gibdos with no spoils, so you can just go up 1 screen. Once the 5th Triforce shard has been obtained you will be warped back to entrance like you usually are.
