Back to Skyloft After the cutscene, you will automatically be warped outside the temple, and you will have to talk to Machi. When you’re done with Faron, return to the sky using the bird statue in front of the temple. Fly back to Skyloft. For the sake of getting to the next area quickest, it’s best to jump off near the Statue of the Goddess. Once there, go inside. Simply walk inside, and up to the pedestal holding the first tablet. Press A in front of it, and Link will put the Amber tablet into it. The next area, Eldin will open. When you’re finished with your business in Skyloft, go ahead and fly over to the beacon, and jump in. Eldin: The entrance Right away you’ll come to a fork in the road. Go right, left will lead to a dead end. You can cross the platforms on the lava just by auto-jumping to them. Continue forward, and you will be stopped by Mogmas. When they’re done, keep walking forward. There’s another fork, this time surrounded by lava. Going right doesn’t lead to much, so head left, but make sure you wait until the lava is low enough to cross. The Cave You’ll find yourself in a cave with several blocked exits, and a couple little huts. The huts aren’t necessary, but they do have a stool to regain health on, and a small treasure. There are also 3 exits blocked by rocks, you need to use the small bomb garden in the center of the room to open them. If you don’t know how to use the bombs, talk to the mogma near the bomb garden. The blocked exit to your right, on the ground, only holds a large chuchu. The exit on the other side of that hut leads to the way out. The rock pile slightly higher than the others has a blue rupee. When you’re done in here, continue on your way. The path, and the Bridge You’ll come across another bird statue, and a few different ways to go. The 2 paths on the left lead to a Goddess cube and treasure, but go right to progress. The mogma there will tell you he definitely saw somebody dressed in black come by. Keep walking, and you’ll come across a strange creature that crawls into a hole and shoots fire, blocking your path. You have to roll a bomb into the hole to kill it, though the positioning is tricky. You’ll have to experiment until you get it right. When it is dead, keep going. You’ll be ambushed by a few bokoblins. Their weapons look a little different, but that’s all. Fight them, and keep going. Below your outcropping of rock, you’ll see 2 strange new enemies. Lower yourself onto the platform just to the right of the entrance to the area, and you’ll find 2 bomb flowers. To kill the enemies, pick up bombs, and throw them into the hole on top of their shells. Continue forward, and you’ll find a strange bridge. Pick up a bomb from right in front of it, and roll it straight across. It will explode, and drain the lava of the little moat near the mogma who saw a person dressed in black. To cross the bridge, you have to dash across it, or it will sink too quickly. Climb up the ledge, and drop down into the formerly lava-filled area. Go around the only way you can, and get into the geyser of air. You can collect hearts and rupees with your beatle. When you’re done here, jump down. The Underground Tunnels When falling, you can try to land on one of the platforms, but the way forward is just to reach the bottom. Go through the wooden exit, and you’ll find a mogma to your left, and an unclimbable ledge to the right. The mogma will express his annoyance with all the bokoblins, and you’ll have to get rid of them. There are several to begin with, but there is an infinite amount of bokoblins until you kill the one with the horn. To reach him, run to the back of the room, and climb the ledge. Jump from here to the wooden structure, and run along it. At the end is the bokoblin with the horn, kill him. Then wipe out the rest of the bokoblins, and the mogma will call you back over, and (even if you ask for rupees) give you his Digging Mitts. Dig open the small dirt pile near the mogma. The option to use the mitts will show automatically when Link is above a hole he can dig in. Just press A. A geyser of air will start up, and you will be lifted to the top of the ledge. You’ll come to another fork in the road. To proceed to the temple, go right. You’ll come to a room with many monsters that shoot fire from their holes. Keep rolling bombs into them until the path to the exit is clear. You’ll arrive in a room with several digging spots in the ground, and a large air geyser. Dig the holes until you get a geyser, jump into it, and you’ll find yourself at the surface again. The Woman in Black and the Bridge There’s one path after exiting the air vent, and you’ll meet another mogma. He’ll tell you about how he saw a woman cross a large gap simply by jumping across. Walk behind him, and you’ll find a bomb flower and a pile of rocks. Blow it up, and you’ll create a shortcut back to the area before the underground tunnels. Go back, and walk up to the gap the mogma described. Suddenly, the bridge will stretch out to you. A woman will call out to you from the other side to hurry up so the you can get to Zelda. Then she runs away. Cross the bridge, and you’ll be in a new area with a bird statue and a couple ways to go. For now, left is the only way you can go. The Road to the Temple Walk through the little tunnel, and you’ll arrive at a bigger area with a large slide with platforms and bokoblins on it. Dash up to the first platform, and kill the bokoblin. Once there, you’ll see another smaller platform to the left. Dash to there, and pick up a bomb, and throw it down. This will create a shortcut back to the very entrance to Eldin. At the top of the slide is a bokoblin throwing small boulders on you. Shoot him with your slingshot, make him run away with the beatle to stop the boulders long enough to run up, or you can just try to dodge the boulders, but the bokoblin will still be an issue when you reach the top. Once there, kill him anyway. Go right, and you’ll come across a small bokoblin camp.  Kill the few bokoblins there, and there will be one constantly blowing his horn at the top of a wooden tower. Throw or place a bomb at the base of it, and it will fall over and he will die, creating a bridge to the next area. Climb up onto the tower, and cross. Continue forward, and climb the wall with vines. Follow the path at the top, and you’ll find another large rock slide. This time there are several bokoblins throwing boulders at you. Either distract them or hit them with your beatle or slingshot like before, or just try to avoid the boulders. When you reach the top, wipe out the bokoblins there, and walk up to the temple. Unfortunately, it is locked, though you will hear mogmas discussing how they’d like to find the pieces of the key to open the door. Fi will enable dowsing for the 5 pieces of the key. The 5 Key Shards When you begin dowsing for the keys, the first one is just to your left. Dig with your mitts, and you’ll have one shard. Further left, you’ll find a more narrow slide with a tower at the bottom. Pick up a bomb from the top of the slide, and drop it down so it lands near the base of the tower. It should knock the tower over, go on and slide down. Underneath where the tower’s base was, there’s another spot you can dig, and find the next key shard. Back at the temple entrance, if you look down the large slide, on the very left, you’ll see a pile of rocks. You’ll have to throw a bomb at just the right angle so it explodes when it is near the pile. Then, dash to the small cave that appears, and there’s another dirt pile with a key shard in it. To the right of the area in front of the temple, you’ll find a bokoblin camp very similar to before. Bomb the base of the tower where the leader is, and cross the new bridge. Continue, and you’ll find an area like the bridge the woman in black extended for you. This time though, the bridge is not there. To your left you’ll find a ledge just big enough to cross. Fall off, and grab the ledge, and get to the area on the other side. Climb the ledge, and jump to the outcropping towards the bridge. Jump onto the wall of vines, and carefully carry yourself right. Then when you’ve reached the edge, climb up, and onto the ground again. Pass through the gate, and to your left will be a button, step on it, and the bridge will extend. Continue forward, the only way you can go. You’ll enter a flaming cave, and Fi will warn you will likely catch fire if you enter, and to choose your direction when entering carefully. Dash in, and turn right. You’ll fall onto a slide, and you’ll have the choice to go left or right. Go right, and land on the ledge. To your left, you’ll see air geysers, turning off and on again. When they are both on, quickly jump across, and you’ll find another hole containing a key shard. Ride the slide the rest of the way down. Continue forward to another fork in the road. Go right, and you’ll enter a cave with lava in its lowest point. Outside the cave, there are bomb flowers, and below, a rocky spot blocking lava from leaving that little lava pool inside. Blow up the rocks, and the lava in the room will drain some. Go back inside, and now you can see a little platform leading to a pile of rocks. Pick up a bomb, and roll it across the slide as the markings indicate. Once you’ve rolled it, quickly dash to the bomb, and move it close to the rock pile. When it explodes, you’ll find a hole containing a key shard. Back to the Temple Exit the cave, and at the fork, go the other way this time. Now you can blow up the pile of rocks near the bridge from before. Use the same path from here to get back up to the temple. Once there, you can put the pieces of the key into the lock, and enter the temple.
