Gohma Gohma is the first boss of the game, and is the reason for the ash falling from the sky, and Prince Komali not being able to receive the ability to fly. First off, Gohma cannot be attacked by you until his armor is cracked off, and for that you will need quite a bit of weight. So, rather then aiming your new found grappling hook and Gohma's eye, you should aim your grappling hook at Valoo's tail hovering above Gohma's head. If you have successfully pulled down on Valoo's tail, a large rock will fall from the ceiling and will crush Gohma's head. Do this three times to break Gohma's armor completely. Afterward, simply aim your grappling hook at his eye, which can be done by L targeting. Slash at his eye a couple times and he will be defeated!
Kalle Demos Kalle Demos is the second boss of the game, residing within the depths of the Forbidden Woods. As you enter the arena, a cut scene will occur in which Makar is swallowed by a gigantic plant creature, being Kalle Demos. Immediately, as you are able to control Link, you should run off to either the right or the left to avoid his attacks. After he is done attacking, whip out your boomerang and aim for the vines holding Kalle Demos up. Let fly and the boomerang will cut some of the vines. Cut down all of them to make him fall down, exposing his dekubaba-ish interior. Slash at that, but remember not to get too greedy, as his petals can suck you up and spit you out causing massive damage. Repeat this process enough times to free Makar and put an end to Kalle Demos!
Gohdan Gohdan is the guardian of the Tower of Gods, and requires that Link be tested. Immediately, as the battle starts, take out your bow, and L target one of his hands. Shoot away, making sure to pause shortly after every shot to avoid wasting arrows. After his hands are down and out, begin aiming for the eyes, once again making sure to pause between arrow shots. Once his head is down on the floor from you shooting arrows, throw a bomb in it's mouth. Rinse and repeat to defeat him!
Phantom Ganon Phantom Ganon is the protector of the Forsaken Fortress, and holder of the skull hammer, an item necessary to complete the fortress and the game. As you enter the fortress, walk towards the center of the round area to initiate the battle. As his main attack, Phantom Ganon will throw balls of energy at you. If any of you have played Ocarina of Time before, you would know what to do at a time like this, hit his energy balls back at him. After a volley of ping-pong between you two, and he has fallen, rush forward and strike him with a jump attack. Another of his attacks, making copies of himself all around you, is easily avoided by jump back while L targeting or simply running away. Continue your strategy of hitting his energy balls back to him, and he will go down soon!
Helmaroc King The Helmaroc King is the final boss of the Forsaken Fortess. After you're done with this fine fellow, you'll finally be done with the Forsaken Fortress itself! Hoorah! Anyways, as you enter the circular area below Ganon's abode, you will be confronted by this gargantuan bird. The first thing you'll want to do is get out your skull hammer, because that will be your best friend during this battle. Eventually, after flying around a couple times, he will land and attempt to peck at you. When he pecks, his beak will get stuck in the ground, allowing you to smack him with your skull hammer. After 5 hits with your hammer, his protective face mask will be broken off, allowing you to slash directly at his head when he pecks. Do this several times to defeat him!
Jalhalla Jalhalla is the combination of several poes infused in a mask found in the boss room of the Earth Temple. As you enter the room, you encounter a rave between the poes found in the room, who, as they see you, jump into a mask in the center of the room, forming Jalhalla. Once the battle begins and you regain control of our hero, immediately head over to one of the light beams coming in from the ceiling, and following the theme of the temple, get out your mirror shield. Shine the light off of your mirror shield into Jalhalla. This will cause him to fall down, allowing you to pick him up with your power bracelets and throw him into the spikes. He will then separate into his different poes, and you can proceed to use the great spin or any other method to deal with them. After all the small poes are dead, Jalhalla is toast.
Molgera Molgera is probably the second hardest boss in the entire game, but also one of the funnest. Make sure to come into this fight with plenty of fairies and potions. Also make sure to have your hookshot equipped before jumping into this boss arena, as that will be your primary weapon in this battle. When you feel ready, enter the arena. Molgera has two primary attacks, which it uses very liberally. The first of which is to fly around the room and lunge at our hero. The second of which is to attempt to suck Link into his mouth through the sand. Avoiding these attacks become twice as annoying and difficult to dodge when Molgera summons babies that constantly attack you as you try to damage Molgera. You can try to kill these, but he will simply spawn more. Anyways, to damage Molgera, you need to hookshot onto his eye while he is attempting to suck you into the sand, then slash at his eye. Only a couple times are needed, making this boss much easier.
Phantom Ganon (2nd) Phantom Ganon is the last step before the final fight with Ganondorf. The boss fight is activated when you jump into the keyhole shaped pit before the final fight itself. You will be dropped in a maze of sorts, and the boss fight will be activated. Phantom Ganon can e defeated much like he was previously, except this time his sword will not leave with him. Pay attention to the direction in which his sword lands when you kill him each time. Go the direction the handle of the sword points you, and eventually you should come upon a different looking room. Kill him in this room to unlock a chest containing the light arrows, which can be used to deliver the final blow!
Puppet Ganon 1st phase Puppet Ganon's first form is definitely the middle ground between the two latter stages in terms of difficulty. Puppet Ganon has multiple attacks, each one with a different body part. The catch is that you can cut down his body parts using the boomerang. You could cut down all of his arms and legs, but I actually recommend just cutting down his tail, making the whole fight much quicker and easier. Shoot three light arrows into his tail, and he will be reshaped for the next phase of the battle.
Puppet Ganon 2nd phase Puppet Ganon's second form is by far the easiest of the three. As his only attack, this form of Puppet Ganon will fly up into the air and fall down to crush you. However, you can see it's reflection in the water. So, use the free camera feature to find where the orb on his tail will be when he falls, then go to that area, and shoot it with a light arrow.
Puppet Ganon 3rd stage The third and final form of Puppet Ganon is likely the hardest boss in the game. It is for this reason that I recommend bringing three fairies and one green potion to Ganon's Tower, as these will help out immensely. Anyways, Puppet Ganon's final form is that of a snake, and it's only attack ever is to run around the room as fast as it can. The problem with this is that it's a fairly large room, and Snake Puppet Ganon is a rather fast being, so you'll be extremely lucky to get a shot in. I recommend staying off to one side of the room and waiting for a shot with an arrow drawn. Don't conserve your arrows, as this is the last time in the game you'll be using them, and is generally worth it. After three shots to the tail, Puppet Ganon is finally defeated, and the way to Ganondorf has been opened!
Ganondorf You've finally made it to Ganondorf! Ganondorf is one of the easiest bosses of the game, however. Once you enter the stage, watch the cut scene, and regain control of Link, you will notice that Zelda has offered to use the light arrows with you to cover you. So, distract Ganondorf by slashing at him and such, and Zelda Can get in a shot, allowing you to get damage into Ganondorf. Eventually, he will knock Zelda out, so you must do parry shots in order to get damage in. After Zelda wakes up though, she will offer to shoot light arrows at your shield to reflect them into Ganondorf. Immediately put up your shield and make sure it's angled at Ganondorf. Zelda will shoot an arrow which you bounce off your mirror shield and into Ganon. Walk to Ganon while he's stunned like this, and parry, and Link will stab Ganondorf in the forehead, ending his reign once and for all!
