Axiom Verge

Ah, Axiom Verge. The Metroidvania indie that received critical acclaim after it's release on Playstation 4 and PC early last year. The game features Trace, your average-joe scientist who gets thrown into a world of side-scrolling space exploration. The eerie, lonely, 2D worlds packed with over 60 power-ups and dozens of monsters screams "Metroid". After the release of AM2R earlier this month, fans are hungrier than ever for a classic Metroid expirience. According to staff member Jonathan whose tried the PC vesrion, Axiom Verge will curb their hunger. What's more? It's now headed to Wii U.

Axiom Verge

September 1, 2016 marks the official release date in North America and Europe for the Wii U version of Axiom Verge. Sole Indie developer Tom Happ describes the Nintendo release of the game with "Feels like coming home...". After years of playing classic Nintendo games and with the countless inspirees that belong on Nintendo platforms, it's only fitting that the developer brings such a tribute as Axiom Verge to be coming to a Nintendo platform as well. And guess what: the Wii U version is set to be the definitive version of the game. Check back before September 1 for our review of the game and more release information.
