The Nintendo Today! app has dropped a new trailer for the upcoming Splatoon spinoff Splatoon Raiders. It highlights the single player focus of the new game, which appears to play like a larger scale Salmon Run with a large map to explore. It's hard to tell from the trailer, but there may also be some rougelike elements at play.

While it is single player game unlike the mainline Splatoon entries that focus on online multiplayer, online and local co-op will be possible. It's currently unclear if Game Share co-op will also be supported, or if every player needs to own a Switch 2 and a copy of the game.

The main reveal was the release date: July 23, 2026. As a reminder this is a Switch 2 exclusive, but it will be making use of Nintendo's new split pricing model and will have an MSRP of $59.99 (physical) and $49.99 (digital).
